Workers Leadership Development & Solidarity

Worker solidarity and leadership among workers all along the food chain is key to winning improvements in the workplace. This committee looks for ways that FCWA members can support each other and is developing skills-sharing trainings, workers exchanges, and a resource library for FCWA members. This committee also looks for ways that Alliance members can Take Action to support our members campaigns!

Felipe Tendick-Matesanz, a member of the Restaurant Opportunities Center (ROC) of Chicago, participated in our first workers exchange in March of 2010 and afterwards wrote an article for our website: “Our fight is one and the same. This weekend was just a little taste of how the Food Chain Workers Alliance can unite those in the Food Chain. I look forward to taking part and observing this movement grow.”
