23novAll DayStand in Solidarity with Honduran Melon Workers

Event Details

On Day 4 of Food Worker Rising, we’re asking you to support Honduran melon workers and their fight for an independent union.

With the support from FCWA member International Labor Rights Forum, Honduran melon workers have been organizing to exposing the truth about dangerous working conditions on melon plantations despite ongoing death threats. These plantations are owned by Fyffes who, in response, are threatening to take jobs away and refuses to recognize their independent worker union.

TAKE ACTION

You can stand in solidarity with these Honduran workers by sharing the message below on your social media:

@International Labor Rights Forum has been supporting Honduran melon workers in exposing the truth about dangerous working conditions on melon plantations while their employer @FyffesNA threatens to take jobs away and refuses to recognize their worker union. @FyffesNA needs to stay in Honduras and recognize the workers’ independent union!
